901 Simonton Street
The apartment building on the corner of Simonton and Olivia Streets was built around 1900, and by 1965 was in a bit of disrepair - gingerbread is missing, the ground floor front porch is enclosed with chicken wire, and part of the building in the back appears shored up with 2X4s. Yet life goes on - there's laundry on the line and furniture on both porches. Notice the woman on the second floor balcony. Catching her with her head in her hands makes one wonder what unknown story we've missed and now will never know.
